About
Writing your website content or keeping up with a consistent high-quality blog can be hard to achieve. An extra pair of hands and a fresh pair of eyes that are removed from the business can help get the best results and the task completed on time.
Would you like help writing for your business?
I’ve worked in business-to-business and professional services marketing for over 20 years – and have written all that time. Brochures, flyers, website copy, newsletters, sales letters, presentations, articles, press releases, reports – you name it, I’ve probably written it. I’ve managed marketing campaigns, projects, events, and tradestands too.
I was a marketer first (I hold a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing) and then became a writer. So, I understand marketing principles and what makes or breaks good content and copywriting.
I’ve learnt that my love of researching and writing fits perfectly with where my clients need the most help. I’ve sorted out many businesses who couldn’t find the words to express themselves on their website; written a multitude of blog posts for those that don’t have the time; and created case studies and issued press releases for those that don’t know how.
With most of my corporate career working in marketing teams for commercial financial services and business consultancy, I now specialise in business-to-business and professional services communications. I have a particular interest in the farming and rural markets and I’m a member of the Guild of Agricultural Journalists.
You can find out more about my career on my Linkedin profile.
How I relax
As a farmer’s daughter with a degree in agriculture and business, I’ve always loved the countryside and I’m an outdoors person through-and-through. When I am not working, you’ll find me walking Milly (you can meet her on my walks on Twitter) in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Or I might be on our new venture – our allotment situated in a fabulous spot on the edge of our village looking up to Salisbury Plain. I’m a partner in the family farm in North Dorset too, and often return to help out.

Working with Polly has helped us increase our client marketing through our website, social media and email newsletters. It has been well received by us and our clients.”
